Supervision and Consultation
I offer supervision and consultation to qualified counsellors and psychotherapists. I also supervise trainees if our therapeutic orientation and foundation are congruent enough. In those cases I am willing to liase appropriately with the training organisation.
Supervision creates a space to think about therapeutic work — your particular style of practicing and the clinical issues that unfold as the work progresses.
The theoretical models that particularly influence my thinking are Transactional Analysis, attachment theory, group analysis and psychoanalysis.
If you are interested in the possibility of a supervisory relationship with me, do telephone 07554 705096 or send me an e-mail and we can arrange an initial consultation to explore whether our clinical styles “fit” and if we would like to work together.
Initial consultations for supervision are free of charge.
History of Supervisory training:
I initially trained in Supervision at the Northern Guild for Psychotherapy (NGP) in 1993, and supervised counsellors in training there between 1996–98 I then moved on from the Northern Guild to work independently.
My most recent Supervisor Development training was with the British Association of Psychotherapists (BAP) in London in 2010.
